I would describe myself as a a Business Analyst with a passion for software development and economics. With several years of experiences in large companies across several industries (aviation, watchmaking, insurance…), I am still building my professional career trying to improve my practice and knowledge along the way. Indeed, my reflections are inspired by the experts and managers I have met, the organizations and strategies I have observed and of course my reading and studies. Whether it’s immersing myself in a new industry, learning a new programming language or optimizing the way I work on a project, I love learning and expanding on new topics.
Nowadays, IT departments are often considered as slow, unresponsive, restrictive, or totally disconnected from business realities. In our digital era, where most of value chains are supported by an information system, I’m so disappointed to watch these feelings grow in large non-tech companies. In my opinion, IT should empower business, not enslave it with processes as much as Business should consider IT department not only as provider but as enablers and partners. Building solid bridges between Business and IT is the only way to generate more and more value by designing solutions and architectures that meet the needs consistently and take advantage of the multitude of innovation out there.
